And I have to say I feel rather relieved too.

I think unfortunately you saw by publishing the aforementioned comments how divided the U.S. and even the U.K. and Europe, are over the Trump presidency.

I’m an old fogie — 70 years old and so I’ve seen a thing or two. Frankly, this is good and bad. Good, because you’ve seen history and seen some things that worked, and some that did not. Bad, because as you get older you become more conservative and very likely more rigid.

The only thing I can compare this year to is 1968 as being a tumultuous year.

Frankly, I don’t think the country has been more divided since the Civil War.

I don’t think that even given the divide over the Vietnam War, the feelings about Richard Nixon and race in America that the U.S.A. as a whole was as divided as we find ourselves today. That is why that posting hit such a nerve.
